Bianca Falco is a dancer, choreographer, actress and musician from Naples, Italy.
Her acting credits include a number of LaMama Theatre productions and camera work, Space to Create (TV Series), Big Time (TV Movie), The Long Step (Short), Deified (Short), Friuli (Short).
BIO:Besides being a ballet soloist, and dancing for Murray Louis, her early experiences in Europe include operating her own dance school and receiving first prize in an international video dance competition sponsored by RAI Italian national TV. Her dance/soloist credits include Freestyle Die Trilogie”, an experimental dance theatre piece choreographed by Peter Fuxx, which premiered at the famous Schauspielhaus Theater in Vienna. She has also danced for Poppo and the Gogo Boys at the Joyce Theater and performed with Fly-by-Night Dance Theater, a low flying trapeze company. In 1994, she came to NY on scholarship at the Nikolais and Louis dance Lab. Bianca was “adopted” by Ellen Stewart, La Mama E.T.C. There she was exposed to experimental and classical theatre and created movement for actors and regular people. Her long association with La MaMa includes choreography for several productions, “Intermezzo” (La MaMa Moves), “Apnea” (La MaMa NYC), and “Easy” (Spoleto Festival, Italy). Bianca’s work as a choreographer and movement director for film, theatre and video include the short film “ALEX”, which won Best Fiction Film at the Directors Guild of America in 2011. In 2017, La MaMa E.T. C. produced her project “Terra dei Fuochi / Land of Fires”. She was a teaching artist in India and was invited by Danny Tan to dance in Singapore. She has been invited to perform multiple times at Performance is Alive (Art Basel Week) in Miami. Bianca is a part of the modern dance awareness society since almost two decades. She humbled to have the chance to co-direct since 2019 Passtrespass a dance theatre project in Athens with a paid cast of refugees. Bianca received few grants including from NYFA, Chashama.
